Caring for a Zamioculcas zamiifolia Zenzi (ZZ Zenzi) is quite straightforward, as it shares the same low-maintenance qualities as the regular ZZ plant. Here’s a guide to keeping your ZZ Zenzi healthy and thriving:

1. Light Requirements:

  • Ideal Light: It does well in indirect light but can also tolerate low light conditions, making it perfect for offices, living rooms, or areas with minimal sunlight.
  • Avoid direct sunlight: Direct sun can scorch the leaves, so it's best to place it in a spot with filtered light or in a room with natural light but no direct exposure.

2. Watering:

  • ZZ Zenzi is a drought-tolerant plant, so you don't need to water it frequently.
  • Watering Schedule: Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Typically, watering once every 2–3 weeks should be sufficient, depending on the environment.
  • Overwatering: Be cautious not to overwater, as ZZ plants are prone to root rot. Ensure that the pot has proper drainage and the soil is well-draining.

3. Soil:

  • Use a well-draining potting mix (a cactus or succulent mix works well).
  • The Zenzi variety prefers to be in soil that does not retain too much moisture, helping prevent root rot.

    4. Pruning and Maintenance:

    • ZZ Zenzi doesn’t require much pruning, but you can remove any dead or yellowing leaves to keep the plant looking tidy.
    • It grows slowly, so you may not need to repot it frequently. If the plant becomes root-bound, consider repotting it every 1-2 years into a slightly larger container.

    5. Pests:

    • ZZ plants are relatively pest-resistant, but keep an eye out for common houseplant pests like mealybugs or spider mites.
    • If you notice pests, treat the plant with insecticidal soap or wipe the leaves with a damp cloth.

    6. Toxicity:

    • Like other varieties of ZZ plants, the Zenzi variety is toxic to pets and humans if ingested, so keep it out of reach of children and animals.

By following these basic care tips, your ZZ Zenzi should thrive and continue to be a beautiful, easy-to-maintain addition to your indoor space.

Size: 25cm, comes in regular nursery pot

    junk
radio runs hot even when not transmitting. programming cable does not work with win 11. it does work with chirp once you find a 10 year old pc to program it. programming from the front panel seems impossible. knobs are made of rubber and keep falling off. i am sure i will find more once i use it for a while if it lasts. Update: I was able to trudge through the manual and make the changes i needed from the front panel, took a while with the darn buttons falling off. Manual is not good but with some patience you can work through it. If you need a tiny radio and your budget allows i would look at the anytone 778.

    good radio for the money
THE GOOD.. These are very good radios for the money, we currently have 6 of these the oldest is probably 3 years old, we can mounter all local emergency services, easily get into all of our local ham 2 meter and 70 cm repeaters. It IS NOT part 95 compliant by the FCC which means it IS NOT LEGAL for GMRS use, but it can broadcast and receive on all FRS, MURS and GMRS frequency's, use at your own risk on these frequency's. One of these radio's are in a ranch jeep it is our oldest radio, this thing has lived in hot dusty environment, been soaked with water and mud and has held up great. Easy to program with CHIRP. THE BAD.. They claim the they are 25 watt VHF 20 watt UHF, The ones we have only put out 18-19 watts, which is plenty of power for most repeater operation. The data port and speaker port are side by side on the back if you have your radio mounted to were you cant see the rear and put the programing cable into the speaker port it WILL blow your speaker.

It works, quality could be better
I was going to use this on a trip from Boise to Alaska as a multi use radio to listen to LADD, FRS, GMRS, and talk on Ham frequencies. After programming it and playing around with it, I decided to take my FT7250D. Like: Small size Lots of memories Audio is OK Programming cable included. Multi frequency monitoring, if you’re into that (I’m not). Dislike: Quality - knobs are soft rubber and come off easily. 4 frequency displays. Why? Cannot turn them off. Display text is small because of the 4 displays. Accessing features and menu items can be confusing.
